Talking to Arle's grandmother can tell you where to find any remaining stones, which uses the same map interface. Select while on the overworld is how you open up your map. Arle will also acquire various accessories throughout the game, like the Ribbit Boots which will allow her to perform jumps. The dungeons are also filled with various puzzles, for example in Zoh Daimaoh's palace there are four ways, but only one is safe for going because the other ones will wash Arle away with a blow of water. In dungeons enemies will randomly encounter Arle while she walks around. ![]() Arle can buy and equip various rods and rings on her quest, with the currency being cookies. ![]() ![]() For example, she says "I'm supercharged! This is perfect!" when she's at full health.Įxperience points are measured by jewels around the interface bar, and levelling up restores health and magic back to full. Arle's stats are still displayed by her character portrait and the things she says, alongside a menu which displays her abilities more clearly. The game drops the front view perspective of the original Madou Monogatari games but still has similar gameplay elements.
